COURSE DESCRIPTION:

           This course will deal with the following aspects of computer literacy:
           (1) The history, design, and social impact of computers.
           (2) Elementary Programming Concepts.
           (3) The use of various types of application software programs.


 
MATERIALS:
       (1) Textbook: H.L. Capron, Computers, 1990, Fifth Edition, The Benjamin/ Cummings Publishing Co.

       (2) Software Program: MicroSoft Office

       (3) Labwork:
                 (a)    Labwork will be assigned frequently.
                 (b)    It will be collected, graded and returned.
                 (c)    For all labwork, students are required to hand in a hardcopy printout.
                 (d)    Duplication of documents will not be permitted.
                          Duplicated documents as will as the original will be assigned a grade of "F".
