How to scan your pictures:

1. Put your picture facing down on the bottom-right corner of the scanner.
2. Click Start / Program / ScanSoft PaperPort 9.0 / PaperPort / OK
3. Choose the scanner from up-left corner of the new window as below.

   

4. Click Scan
5. Choose the mode (24-bit Color).  Also, click Scan under Preview as below.

   

6. Wait for the noise of scanner gone .
7. Move mouse and drag the arrow to define the edges of the picture as below

   

8. After you have the edge around your picture, click OK.
9. Wait for the scanner scan, then click Cancel / Done.
10. Double click on your picture to open your picture.
11. Click and move your mouse to select the area of the picture that you want. (Redefine the size of your picture)
12. Go to pull-down menu to click Page / Crop to Selection.  (You have some other choices to modify your picture)
13. Click File / Save As to save your file.  Remember that save all pictures in the same folder as your index file
    and name the picture file in only one word. Also, make sure that the type of file should be jpg. (jpeg file, not pdf)
14. Clean up the pictures on the desktop.
