Chapter three: Reusing a Presentation and Adding Media

Right-Click here to download file, Wildlife.
Right-Click here to download file, Glade Birds.
Right-Click here to download file, Birds at dawn.
Open the software program, Microsoft PowerPoint 2010.
Open the file that you just saved before.
1. Insert the picture, Bird in Sky, into the first slide.
2. Resize the picture so that it covers the entire slide.
3. Insert the picture, Bird Reflect, into the third slide.
4. Resize the picture so that it covers the entire slide.
5. Change color for both slides as below:

Add an Artistic Effect to a Picture:

Click the Bird Reflect picture in slide 3 / Send Backward / Send to Back. Similar to slide 1.

Resize placeholder as below:

Delete the subtitle placeholder.
Align Paragraph Text:
slide 1 - align left. Move text box down to
almost center of the slide.
slide 3 - align right. Move text box down as below

Delete Slide 4.

Copy & Modify a Clip
1. Copy the picture of slide 2 and paste on slide 1.

2. Ungroup the picture three times as below.

3. Click somewhere else / select mouth to change color to yellow / select each of leaves and change to green.
4. Click the background of this picture and press delete key to delete the yellow background object.
5. Zoom it back to 69%.
Add Media to Slides
1. Click slide 3 / Insert / Video / find the file Wildlife.
2. Play the entire video.
3. Click Playback on the Ribbon / Trim Video. Trimming a Video File



Insert Audio

Search for
Glade Birds.
If you cannot find it, search it from files as below.

Drag
to the
upper-left corner of the slide.

Insert the audio file Birds at dawn to slide 1 and set up similar way as slide 3.
Add Video Style

Resize it.
Insert a Movie Clip
Insert Music Notes to slide 1.

Play the show.
Click slide 2 / Home / Replace
Replace
All.

Check spelling
Insert slide numbers.
