The procedure to create a wib-site:
1. Create a new folder named "web" in E: drive.
a. Download pictures from Internet and save in the
"web" folder.
b. Scan your friends', family's pictures and save
in "jpg" file in "web" folder.
2. Open Microsoft FrontPage program by clicking on Start
/ Programs / Microsoft FrontPage.
3. Type the title of the page in the first two
lines as
Welcome to my Home Page
type <your own name>here
4. Center your title
5. Change size and background color.
6. Give a boldface and italic on your own name
7. Save this document as "index" in "web" folder.
8. Click on Insert
/ Picture / From File, and change folder
to web to look for a picture to insert.
Center your picture.
9. Click on "Insert Table" icon
and choose 2 by 2 table.
10. Type "My Schedule" in the first cell
of the table.
11. Save this page again.
12. Click on new page icon.
13. Type "The following is my schedule at LeMoyne-Owen
College:"
14. Insert a 5 by 4 table and type the first
row as
Course ID
Course Title Time
Instructor
15. You can change column width by dragging the
lines between two columns.
16. Fill in your class information.
17. Save this page as "schedule" in "web" folder.
18. Click on Window / index
19. Highlight "My Schedule"
20. Click on
(Hyperlink
icon) and you will get the following window
21. Click the second icon
to link to schedule file.
22. Click on the tag
"Preview" and click on "My Schedule" to check the link.
23. Click on "Normal" to edit the page again.
24. Change window to schedule file.
25. Highlight "LeMoyne-Owen College"
26. Click on
and
type http://www.loc.edu in URL
box and click ok.
You may go to Internet to find the page which
you want to link and right click on the URL to copy address to clip board.
After that, you paste it on the link URL location.
27. You can link your schedule to all your instructors.
28. Create other pages and link them to your index file.
29. Go to Yahoo / Geocities to create a free
account.
30. Upload all your files in web folder to Geocities.
31. Copy your web address and paste on an e-mail
document to send it to me.
