Excel Chapter One
I. Enter Data.

Create a worksheet with the following information.

If you know how to type data into Excel, you can highlight the following information, copy and paste onto your Excel worksheet.

II. Do Calculation.

1. Click the cell B9 and click the AutoSum for the sum of B4 to B8.

2. Hold and drag a special corner (the fill handle) of B9 to copy the sum formula to C9, D9, E9, and F9.

3. Click the cell G4 and click the AutoSum for the sum of B4 to F4.

4. Hold and drag a special corner (the fill handle) of G4 to copy the sum formula to G5 until G9.

5. Save the file as Walk and Rock Music 1st Quarter Sales in your USB flash drive.

III. Format the Worksheet

1. Click A1 / Cell Styles / Title.

2. Click A2 / change font to Cambria / make Boldface /change size to 14 / change color to dark blue (column 4, row 1).

3. Highlight A1 to G1 / click Merge and Center button.  Similar to row 2.

4. Highlight A3 to G3 / click Cell Styles / Heading 3.

5. Highlight A9 to G9 / click Cell Styles / Total Cell Style.

6. Highlight B4 to G4 / click $ (Accounting Number Format).

7. Highlight B5 to G8 / click , (Comma Style)

8. Highlight B9 to G9 / click $ (Accounting Number Format).

9. Click somewhere else to deselect the area.

10. Click right-boundary of each column and double-click it to adjust column width.

IV. Add a 3-D Clustered Column Chart.

1. Highlight A3 to F8 / click Insert / Column / 3-D Clustered Column Chart

2. Click, hold, drag and resize the chart to the location from A11 to G22.
